The Washington Wizards goes veteran mode, defeating the young Philadelphia 76ers (120-115)

At the start of the game both teams are trading baskets. Making it a close game in the first few minutes of the 1st quarter. But Wizards guard John Wall was all business on his first game of the season. Putting a scoring clinic will down the stretch Wall scored 28 points, 5 Rebounds and 8 assists. His tag team partner Bradley Beal who was struggling from shooting the basketball added up 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

On the other hand the Philly fans were excited to see their rookies as Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz made their season debut. Simmons, the 2016 1st overall pick who was out last season because of a foot injury that required foot sprain treatment had a strong performance. Simmons ended up with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Meanwhile Markelle Fultz, the 2017 1st overall pick was flying below the rookie radar as he only scored 10 points.


Sixers forward Robert Covington led the team’s fire power. Covington had 29 points and 7 rebounds. He was on target from the 3-point stripe draining seven 3-pointers out of eleven attempts. 76ers center, Joel Embid had a double-double performance with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Despite of all the effort, still the 76ers wasn’t able to grab the win.
