Facebook is now starting to roll out features to its live streaming. The new feature will be called masks and will be available within Facebook’s app as well as the Mentions app for verified users.

Last March, the company has acquired the face-tracking and 3D face-placement app, MSQRD. And they have now incorporated this service to their live streaming.

Similar to Snapchat, Facebook will be swapping out the masks for different styles. The initial plan to debut this feature will include Halloween-themed masks.

Masks are starting to roll out now to iOS users in the United States, UK and New Zealand and will hit Android “in the coming months.” Facebook also plans to bring it to additional countries.

With this new updates, it seems Facebook will continue its growth and maintain its rank as one of the top social networking providers.
