The Suns made a statement after defeating the Miami Heat 99-90 at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix to start a six-game West Coast trip.

Miami played the game with just eight healthy players available. It’s a statement that’s held true for the Heat’s entire season, as a long list of injuries has hurt Miami since the start of the year. Devin Booker led the Suns with a game-high 27 points. Tyson Chandler helped out with 20 rebounds. Eric Bledsoe ended up with 17 points and 7 assists and rookie Marquese Chriss added up 18 points and 6 boards.

After promising that things would be better once they got healthier going in to 2017, the Dallas Mavericks started their first game for the year 2017 in a high note after defeated the Washington Wizards 113-105.

Harrison Barnes led the scoring for the Mavs with 26 points on 8-of-18 shooting. No basket was bigger than Barnes’ 3-pointer with 24.3 seconds left to put Dallas ahead against Washington. Deron Williams added up 21 points, Seth Curry with 16 points, and big Dirk with 11 points and 9 rebounds. John Wall and Bradley Beal combined for 52 points. Wall with 27 and Beal with 25. Marcin Gortat with a double-double performance of 12 points and 16 rebounds. But fell short in the final minutes of the 4th quarter.
