Pokémon GO creators Niantic Labs introduced this little jelly camouflage, non-legendary Ditto just in time for the Thanksgiving weekend and has finally been included in the game.
Ditto, which has the power ability to mimic the physical form and abilities of the other Pokémon it’s facing during gym battle, is finally available for Pokémon GO players to catch.
How to catch Ditto in Pokémon GO?
The thing is, you might not realize that you’re catching Ditto when you catch him. Niantic revealed that Ditto will only reveal itself after it’s caught, meaning that players must have a bunch of other scrub pokémon to find the real deal — even the Pidgeys, Zubats and Rattatas. Ditto can appear as Magikarp as well. So you may just want to get everything in sight for now.
This is great news, with the ability to double the XP and Stardust, it gives me reason to go out and try to track one down. See how Ditto looks like:
If you want Ditto to become your Buddy, you’ll need to walk 3 kilometers to receive a candy as per reports. Pokémon Go players are still waiting for updates as to whether Ditto can hatch from Pokémon eggs or not.
