Simon Cowell has not invited former One Direction singer Niall Horan to perform his solo music on The X Factor, after his record label Syco snub.
The media mogul, who discovered the nearly disbanded group on the show, is reportedly “not happy” over the snub which saw him sign with Universal Records instead. Cowell thinks Niall Horan would have a number 1 hit if he signed with his record label.
Multiple sources revealed that there is ‘zero chance’ he will be invited to perform his latest song This Town.
“Simon really thought the 1D boys would show loyalty after he mentored them on the show and made them the huge global success they are. Instead they went behind his back.
A source said: “He’s not going to be doing them any favours. He knows artists love performing on the show as there are eight million viewers to promote their songs to.”
The source added that the star was fully aware he wouldn’t be able to do The X Factor guesting if he didn’t sign with Syco, and he was fine with the decision. Admitting that he is”extremely proud” and “grateful” for everything Simon has done for him and for 1D.
