The new season of “American Idol” is headed to ABC and its judging panel is shaping up as the iconic singing competition has found two of its judges.

The upcoming reboot of the show will search again for the next big star and this time it will have a brand new home at ABC, after being aired on FOX for 15 years.

People close to negotiations revealed on Monday that they have found a new home and find the next superstars of this generation.

A source told US Weekly that “American Idol” alum Chris Daughtry is set to join the judging panel after competing during its fifth season. Daughtry finished in fourth place and received numerous recognitions and sales for the past years.

Pop star Katy Perry is also rumored to sit beside Daughtry on the judges panel, TMZ reported on Sunday.

For the third judge, ABC is still unclear but the network will definitely reveal the official judges in the coming months.

What do you think of Chris Daughtry and Katy Perry joining the show? Who do you think would be the best trio to fit and become the new “American Idol” judging panel? Sound off in comments!
