Did you know that Bruno Mars has co-written the smashing hit ‘All I Ask’ which he collaborated with and recorded by Adele?

In a visit to the BBC 1 Live Lounge on Wednesday, Bruno Mars covered British superstar’s heartbreaking ballad “All I Ask,” which he co-wrote.

But according to his latest interview with Rolling Stone, Bruno Mars’ favorite part is the “Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do” because of the story behind it.

“We were aiming for that big, diva, ballad thing — that’s what I envisioned,” he explained to the magazine. “But ‘lovers’? I don’t know if anybody really says ‘lovers.’ ‘Yeah, we’re lovers.’ ‘This is my lover.’ I was like, ‘Should we rethink that?'”

Insisting that Adele was “so gangster” about Mars’ remarks, he revealed that she quickly shot him down. “She was like, ‘Nope. That’s what it has to be.’ And she was right. It’s this grand word that makes the song bigger because no one says it. Because nobody talks like that, it pops out.”
